2* center from high school at USF ended up as our first consensus all-american as a defensive end and nearly set an NCAA record for TFLs.

We have a 4/5* DE on the roster now that was offered by everyone (pete carroll was at his school days before signing day trying to turn him) and we are still waiting for him to produce in his fifth year.

That being said, I am happy with USF's class considering we had a coaching change, are following up on a 3 win season (vomit), and we don't have a conference.
The chances of a 5 star panning out are a lot higher than a two star coming becoming all world.
But it is so nice when a 2 star pans out to a 5 star as a senior
Ryan Nassib according to some might go in the Top 10 picks
yet was a 2 star with only one offer

Mark, WVU's defense made every QB they faced look like a 5 star recruit this year... 05-stirthepot

Tulsa had a good recruiting class. Maybe not great, but pretty good.

The star #s can be deceiving. Tulsa signed a 2 star TE out of KC. He took official visits the last 2 weekends to Missouri & K-State. He had offers from Missouri, K-State, Iowa St, Baylor & Arizona St, among others.

Tulsa flipped recruits from SMU, Texas Tech & Oklahoma. 9 of 21 recruits had at least one Big 5 conference offer.

BTW, Iowa stole one of our recruits, but he was only a 2 star, so it shouldn't matter !

USF's and Tulsa's new coaches are raising the level at their respective, schools without question.

Recognize the claim that "CUSA is holding us back" is just an excuse by certain schools for their own self-inflicted mistakes and misjudgements. That is the lesson USF's and TUlsa's recruiting classes bring.

Tulsa had a pretty good class. Here are the final class rankings:
