Exactly. Very few "old school" ACC fans post on this board.

There is a significant over-representation of former Big East schools on this board.

It is mainly just weirdos on the Internet. Normal fans in Ohio only care about the Buckeyes.

You're on the internet. How do you classify yourself?

Nice try, but I didn't say everyone on the Internet is weird.

I don't think you are, but the wide open shot was to easy to pass up.

If by "this board" you mean the ACC conference board, it was basically a "dead board" until the past year or so. And since about half of the teams in (or about to be in) the ACC are former BE schools combined with the fact that the Big East general conference talk was one of the more active boards on this site (and prior to the current invasion of the new fans from the upcoming wave of schools entering into the new new BE the BEST board on this site), this "over-reprentation of former Big East schools" really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

Cheers,
Neil

Actually kind sir, I was referring to the realignment board (although given the context of the posts I was responding to it could look like I meant the ACC board). The realignment board has a significant over-representation of former Big East schools.

Feel better?

I thought that was a possibility. But then I figured you couldn't mean this board, since I was sure you knew this started as a Big East Board and remained so for about 5 years. It was only like two years ago this became a Lounge Board.

Cheers,
Neil

How do you classify someone as an ACC hater?

Ahh... my guess is you live in Central or Northern Ohio. Living in Columbus (and my wife's family being from northeastern Ohio) I know that is how it is there but it is not like that everywhere. Down in Cincinnati (espcially once you get inside I-275) there are a lot of people who could care less about OSU. Up in Toledo there are a great number of people who root for the Wolverines. Plenty of WVU fans down in Marietta and some other parts of the southeastern corner of the state. OSU dominates for the most part but don't act like the everyone roots for them.

NW Ohio does have a large UM presence, but NE is ALL Bucks. You'll see Steeler fans root for OSU, which I still chuckle about.

Northeastern Ohio has a decent percentage of WVU fans. Oliver Luck is from Cleveland, and WVU beat out the Buckeyes for prized Cleveland Heights WR recruit Shelton Gibson. WVU has many alums from northestern Ohio. So I wouldn't say it's ALL Buckeye fans. The majority are, but not all...
