Well Texas fired their womens track coach for the same thing on 1-8-2013.....She won 7 national titles, and is in the track hall of fame. I think a presidence has been set....If not Bev Kearney has a lawsuit in the making.

A Sunday Board of Regents meeting for this does seem strange.

There are some differences in the 2 situations (Bev Kearney and Major Applewhite) but this is still very bad. I think Applewhite loses his job and this might be the end of DeLoss Dodds.

Also, there are plenty more skeletons in the closet. Just Google the cover-up of Cleve Bryant (old Freak Nasty). This could get a lot uglier.

This might be a move to undermine mack brown and use another poor season as an excuse to can him and go after who they want. (Gary Patterson)

You could be right. This would allow Texas to the opportunity to kick Mack Brown upstairs. They would then be free to hire a new coach...

If Deloss is fired or quits over this, Houston fans will rejoice. According to rumors, Deloss hates UH and has done everything in his power to keep UH out of the Big 12. If Deloss quits or gets fired, UH might have a shot at the Big 12 in the future.

I don't think he will be fired but lots of chatter on shorthorn boards wanting him canned.

there is a huge difference between a relationship with an adult student and a relationship with an adult student that you have responsibility over. the first is just creepy the second should lead toward you being fired

This chick was a student & worked for the athletics department for the football team. Applewhite was technically her boss.

As for U of Houston, no matter what happens to DeLoss, they will never be in the Big 12. The disdain for the crap Houston pulled runs deeper than one person. Texas would say "f*** the GOR" and be out the door the day Houston was offered.
