Yeah, I corrected it. It was a pretty glaring error. I guess my subconscious hasn't yet come to grips with Rutgers in the Big 10. I'm too used to thinking of it as a Midwest conference.

RE: FOIA Request Reveals Possible Sun Belt Expansion Plan
When I measure "tradition" I usually do that by looking at how many bowls a program has made and the level of game (the top tier is now Orange, Sugar, Cotton, Rose, Peach, Fiesta).

I was surprised looking at the overall bowl numbers and the amount of top tier games how well the MW stacks up the BE in that regard. I wouldn't have expected that New Mexico has made more bowls than Hawaii. The BE also contains 3 schools that are new to FBS football since 1996 (UCF, USF and UConn) hurting them in the numbers somewhat.

Schools in bold have appeared in either the Fiesta, Rose, Cotton, Peach, Orange or Sugar before:

Houston (20 Bowls)
Navy (18 Bowls)
SMU (15 Bowls)
ECU (13 Bowls)
Cincinnati (13 Bowls)
Tulane (10 Bowls)

USF (6 Bowls)
Memphis (6 Bowls)
UConn (5 Bowls)
UCF (5 Bowls)
Temple (4 Bowls)

Air Force (23 Bowls)
Fresno State (21 Bowls)
Boise State (13 Bowls)
Wyoming (13 Bowls)

Nevada (13 Bowls)
Colorado State (12 Bowls)
New Mexico (11 Bowls)
Hawaii (10 Bowls)
SJSU (9 Bowls)
San Diego State (8 Bowls)
Utah State (7 Bowls)
UNLV (3 Bowls)
