OT: U.S. Education Dept. ruling related to sports
A young person with a disability must be given an opportunity to play a sport in which he or she is interested, either on an already existing team or in a "parallel athletic program". In this article (the link is below), the announcement is compared to Title IX.

It's not clear (at least to me) what impact, if any, this would have on collegiate sports. Here's a link.

A worthy goal: athletics is an important part of socialization but this is going to get interesting.

Disability often translates to learning problems and lower grades. Grades are generally a decision factor in extracurricular participation. Which moral concept wins?
