I'd give a lot to witness a reunion of the Bronco Brigade some Saturday game.

Nobody ever did it like the Brigade did it.

That would be a lot of fun! I haven't kept in contact with everyone from the Brigade unfortunately. There were about 5-10 core members that started it up (I remember our group actually being approached before the "Brigade" was even formed). Wonder what the odds are we could get our old seats right behind the goal next to the visitors bench.....too bad Dan Dakitch isn't still in the MAC, would love to see ol Coach Jockitch and see if he's mellowed out any, haha

Our seats are now gone. Band takes up that whole section. They are not the same anyway since they pushed the bleachers back. No longer right next to the court and opposing bench.

A few of us who still are around town still go regularly and are vocal in section 111. I still have a few of those t shirts laying around somewhere.

This question is a lot like "Where's Waldo" except you must insert Tubb's for Waldo... He was a wild ass Bronco while we were winninggggggggg. Seriously, does any one know what happened to the dude?????

Moving the bleachers back at UA has been the worst decision I've seen while following WMU athletics.

And it's not like they did it for a logistical reason either. The concession area behind the bleachers is way too cramped now.

Man, if I could find a job that paid at least what I make now, I'd be moving back this weekend!

You know, in a funny way, when they moved the bleachers back, the atmosphere was never really the same. The spinning spiral went away, they downplayed the loud environment, etc.

Now the suggestion is to tamp down the atmosphere at Lawson.

It's not middle school.

I agree, but remember where we are. Dutch wonderland. If some of our vans ever went to a top tier programs arena in an important game they would swallow their dentures at what they heard or saw. I will never live to see it but I would love University (Read) arena become a real snake pit for every team we play. It was some what like that in 1976 and it was GREAT FUN.

Well maybe Lawson can be a little over the line.

Originally hawk said he WANTED UA to be loud and a little rowdy and a place opponents would feel a bit intimidated. At some point they cleaned it up. No more who cares, you suck at introduction time for instance.

The Brigade had a way of doing it that just got under the opponent bench and coach without doing anything vulgar.

I always thought the Brigade were worth 3-4 points per game.

I guess time moves on and at some point you just have the memories. Still, I wish they could pass on their secrets to a new generation!
