UNF begins to explore possibility of adding football program

The SBC needs to open lines of communications with both UNF and Florida Gulf Coast.

After adding App State and Ga Southern, Benson needs to visit both UNF and FGCU. I have been consistent through the years and convinced that App State, Ga Southern, North Florida, Florida Gulf Coast and Kennesaw State will be in the SBC.

Go back and check. More than a few thought I was crazy for suggesting UNCC, UTSA and ODU as candidates for the SBC and all three are in CUSA now.

It looks we are going to lose WKU and Ark State as well. We need to act soon.

Don't know the situation at UNF or FGCU nearly as well as I do Kennesaw, but I expect you're looking at nearly a ten year minimum before any of those schools are ready.

They are looking at 2017.

They are looking at 2017.

Which would likely mean that if they were able to fast track, the Sun Belt would be looking at like 2019 or 2020 before they were able to join. Also Kennesaw State, a fairly similar program has had to push their start date back a couple of times.

Before you want to give yourself a premature pat on the back, you weren't ahead of anyone on App or Southern, regarding the other three, I don't think it really counts if they end up moving into the Belt ten years after you initially predicted it, nevermind the fact that you've thrown enough shat against the wall in the past few years, something is bound to stick eventually.

I think you are more worried about givving yourself a pat on the back. I did not say I was the first regarding App State and Ga Southern. They are the obvious choices but keep getting snubbed. So I think you are just trying to pick a fight with me. Let us get something straight once again. You like the last word no matter if you are right or not. This is a discussuion board. So moderate yourself and then push up your intellect.

If you were in my personal sphere you would know that much fo what I said about SBC expanison is what I have been stating for over 10 years long before I joined the message board.

So if it sticks to you ....smell it and wear it with pride.
