Actually Gerald "Brick" Howse.

Not to be nit-picky, but wouldn't that work if he was DE or LB?

Its already his nickname. LOL. Also works if you're 6 ft 1, 225 and tend to run over or through the first two or three tackle

Middle is pretty much LOADED at RB with several other solid commits. Honestly, we do not need him. As a local kid, I hope he does very well and has a great collegiate career for you guys.

I hope Morton sticks. I know Thomas has the rivals ranking and stars, but Morton is crazy good.

We've a huge recruiting weekend this week.

We were/are definitely interested in Kamani Thomas. The coaches are talking to him and he is one of our current commits teammates, Kyler Neal. Personally, I was hoping for a package deal with Kyler Neal, Lorenz Suttles(already said he'd commit to State if he had an offer), and Kamani Thomas. It's still a possibility.

I don't know if we're "loaded" we have a lot of talent in theory, but out of Parker, Bryson, Pratcher and Whatley I'd say Parker is the only one to look more than just promising in flashes.

If either of the young kids coming in look outstanding and will challenge for playing time than maybe we see Bryson and/or Whatley moved to WR, but I'd say we look strong at running back next year and potentially loaded in 2-3 years down the road.

I like the young quarterbacks we have on the bench right now, but it's nice knowing that in 2014 when we are breaking in Grammar or White(or possibly a kid from this
class or next if we land a huge recruit) that we'll have Whatley as a r-senior, Parker as a junior, Bryson as a r-junior, and hopefully the kids in this class as r-SO or JR.

So long as wherever he signs he does so on signing day, you have three weeks to get him flipped, I'm not going to be so arrogant as to say there is no way you can come in and flip him, it's not like any of us are inside the kid's head, but I will be surprised/mildly impressed if you pull it off.

Me too. I consider it a longshot, but a possibility. Sometimes kids want to stay close. Sometimes they want to get just far enough away. Probably not a good thing that we recruited his buddy, Kyler, as a RB and just picked up a JUCO RB.

I wouldn't count on Kamani "I just feel like once you commit to a school, it's like getting married," Thomas answered. "You don't get married to get divorced. I've made my commitment."

Yeah we lost a QB last year 4 days before NSD who had been committed to us since the prior July.

Most kids don't make comments like Thomas has, but I still don't take his word as gospel.

We lost a local lineman midnight before signing day a couple of years ago.

He now starts on Vandy's line, and got SEC lineman of the week once this season 03-banghead
