Really? Do you guys actually believe that the least valuable teams are leaving? lol you can twist this however you want to but we all know that money makes the world go around.

By the way, you two need to get off your high horses. Going to two consecutive Bowl games is not that great of a feat considering lowly F_U did it before ULL and ASU did 02-13-banana

We were talking about bowl games that people actually saw... you know... in the stands... making noise. All 4 F_U bowls sounded like they were being played at a funeral. Total actual attendance at the two UL and ASU bowl games exceeded total actual home attendance for the F-U's combined for any season you care to pick. Not tickets sold, actual butts in seats; and neither one of us got any help for our opponents to speak of.

Keep putting yourselves in a smaller box. It's humorous to me how much ULL fans bring up attendance as if the last two years are the norm in ULL lol Reality check! The last two bowl appearances are not the norm either. As a matter of fact, last year was the first time ULL participated in a bowl game in school history so stop acting like winning and attending bowl games is part of the culture up there.

Let's see... only two bowls, true, but 6 bowl eligible seasons in the last 8. And with people in the stands watching.

The following are ULL attendance averages taken from the NCAA website:

2003 - 13,995
2004 - only conference attendances were listed
2005 - 17,591
2006 - 14,516
2007 - 16,651
2008 - 21,468
2009 - 18,666
2010 - 17,383
2011 - 29,171
2012 - not listed

As you can see, 29k fans are not the norm at ULL. The fact the you feel the need to compare your 100+ year old program with the likes of FIU in its 11th year speaks volumes of ULL's lack of success.

FIU has history ?

Keep thinkin' that. 25K plus at Louisiana is the new norm. Book it.

I agree....of course, until/when they start losing regularly again. Hopefully winning is the new norm for UL as well.

Uhhh hello, I believe that would be the norm for 75% of the football playing schools out there, dont you think?

RE: How much is your team worth?
If you guys try to determine how much each of our school is worth based on attendance and on-field performance then yeah us FIU might be worth just a dime. However, if you look at market size, location, revenues/funds received from student body, and state fund then we are worth more than y'all think we should be.

I think all are aware the the moves of a number of conferences are based predominately on budget and market size and not attendance and on field performance.

04-cheers

Some people are negative in nature. It is what it is for all of us. Also, "on the field performance" is very vague as to what sports and which time frame and what constitutes "success". I'm sure anybody can pick any sport or combination of sport/all sports? in any particular time frame to prove their point.

Go Panthers!
