What Joe is being asked to do here is quite a lot.

A QB starting that didn't throw a pass in a game the whole season.

They may basically do what they did with Ponder the whole season.

Play it safe for as long as they can.

Yeah. It was bush league but I have seen every NFL starting QB do it from time to time.

They didn't bail on him. He was never their first option.

Ok. He's their option right now.

If he could just throw the ball he could be a Kapernick type QB. He has bulled up a lot since leaving the UAB.
