Is it really too difficult to abide by the well-established BCS rules and be polite for a few days?

If I were his boss, he'd be on the streets.

He apparently did well on his audition(if you believe the soap commercials he does) and got the job despite thinking he had failed miserably.

I suppose he has the benefit of getting the job before college gameday was the monster that it is today. If he were trying to land the job today, with the resume he had then, I'm not sure he would have even gotten an audition.

Whenever Corso retires, they'll have the pick of the litter to replace him, including guys like Des and Pollack, who have become solid contributors to the show.

Having said all that, I don't have any real issue with Herby or Corso, I don't take either of their word as gospel, but I don't crucify them either the way many fans do.

I see. I was more directing it as a question about his college or NFL achievements. I'm too lazy and lack the caring it would require to look him up. As far as I'm concerned, if he has no achievements in any facet of what he covers, then his opinion automatically loses some amount of credibility.

you realize you just eliminated 99.93% of message board posters if we put this measuring stick in place.....right?

We also don't get paid large amounts of money to offer our opinions.

The sad part is that, based on what ArkStFan typed above, I wouldn't be surprised if the man who said it was the boss of the Orange Bowl Committee. A few years ago, the head of the Gator Bowl was nastily slamming the Big East in the media, and then Louisville brought more fans than the ACC team.

One year starter at Ohio State at QB.
