I know that we are 8-4 with a relatively soft schedule, but, honestly, I am amazed at how well this team is playing.

Darius Paul is just smart in every phase of the game.

Whittington has emerged as a force with his 6'11" athleticism and plays both ends of the court.

Richie is doing a nice job as a point guard, controlling and distributing the ball and making baskets when needed.

Bench is contibuting and everyone plays as a team.

Also, Hawk and his staff deserve a lot of credit. These kids move incredibly well without the ball, look for open men, play tough defense, go to open space, and play basketball the way it should be played....as a team.

I really enjoy this team. No one seems to have a big head like they're the man. They look at it like "We're the team."

RE: Video Hi-lites of game
They're almost too unselfish. This was the first (and only) game that I'll get to see in person this year and really enjoyed watching them.

I remember thinking Whittington was a bit of a stiff as a freshman. It's amazing the improvement he has made over the course of his career. It's great to see him playing big minutes and excelling on both ends of the court. That monster one-handed throwdown he had was sick!

My one complaint from this game is I thought they made some poor decisions in trying to break the press at times. There were a few instances when passes were too soft, or they attacked the wrong part of the court. Hopefully the team learns from those few mistakes and improves. They were darn near flawless when they got into the half court offense. Lots of easy looks leading to that high shooting percentage today.
