6 Basketball team undefeated. Illinois down at the half to Mizzou.

The University of Cincinnati is one of those teams. 12-0.

Cincy had their hands full today, until that spurt midway through the second half I thought it was going to go down to the wire.

Wright State is a very good defensive team and UC is painful to watch on offense sometimes. Parker took the game over scoring 10 straight to open up the half and UC took control. Perhaps both UC and New Mexico were looking ahead to their match up on Thursday (UNM lost at home yesterday).

Also, with New Mexico, Syracuse and Illinois going down there are now just 5 unbeaten teams:

Duke
Michigan
Arizona
Cincinnati
Wyoming

Wright State is the type of team I enjoy watching my Cats play early in the season. Good defense, well coached, good guard play, and a local team that want to knock off an in state rival. Bearcats haven't played anybody great yet but Iowa State, Oregon, Alabama, Marshall, Xavier, Wright State, and New Mexico (Thursday) should help the Cats deal with a variety of play styles and prepare them for next few months.

It also helps that you don't lose to bad teams early!

They have a very weak schedule, with their best wins coming over Colorado and Illinois State. I think we will know how good they are when they play UNLV, SDSU, New Mexico and Colorado State in conference play.
