Nice "road" win by Temple over previously unbeaten Syracuse in the Garden.

Temple certainly could become one of the new "top" teams in the "new" Big East.

Great win Temple! 02-13-banana

The other "TU" in the NBE also plays in NYC today vs a New York school: Tulane vs Hofstra at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn.

Great win Temple! Who said that the nBE basketball took a back seat to anyone?

It takes a back seat to the B1G and ACC, possibly the Big 12 too.

If they have a western division with UNLV added, I don't think the nBE would be behind the B1G or Big12. And if Houston, Temple, USF, etc built themselves up then it would still be pretty impressive. And if the nBE added a few non-football schools then it could be a top notch conference.

Cuse was 19-34 on free throws? Can't do that. Congrats Temple.

Very true, lol. That has always been SU's achiles heel. I knew just listening to the last 5 minutes of the first half that SU was going to be in trouble in this game. It started back in the Detroit game on Wednesday when they let Detroit come back from a 22 point deficit to only win by 4. They would have lost that game if they had 30 more seconds. Nice rebound for the Owls. good game. Congratulations. Your team keeps playing like today, they will cause a lot of trouble for every one on their remaining schedule. Best of fortune to the Owls the rest of the season.

Thanks, buddy. Temple has been working on free throws since Duke spanked us hard when we missed a bunch of them. Regardless, Syracuse looked amazing out there -- such a strong team. Honestly, it made me so happy to see Temple playing a big team in MSG. That was one of the benefits of joining the Big East -- so sad that the Big East will not be the same conference that we joined.

I just want to say "thank you" to everyone for the support. It's wonderful to see all the nBE teams supporting each other. I think we all are in a similar place and when one of us win, we all win. I wish our universities would just get together and say "F ESPN and college reallignement" and refuse to move. That stability would allow us to build our league and stay safe. Our universities can learn a lot from us. I hope they are reading...

Helluva win Temple! Way to stick it to Syracuse and Boeheim. Never liked him anyway. The new BE with Temple, UConn, Cincy, Memphis, possible SD St still looking at 4-6 bids per year in the big dance.

BB thanks for posting the updates. Thanks everyone for the congratulations. I was at the game yesterday and the Syracuse fans made it a great atmosphere.

The Canisius and Syracuse games are a perfect example of how inconsistent this team is. If they get up for the game and play hard for all 40 minutes they can compete with anyone. If they simply go through the motions with the attitude of “we can pull this game out of the fire we are better” then every game is a potential loss.

It’s a great win because the team needed to prove their potential to themselves and what’s possible if everyone stays focused and plays hard, however there is still a very long road ahead.
