With Boise and possibly SD going back to the MWC that means no BYU. BYU would most likely go to the MW in that case.

Can the BE keep SMU and Houston? That's the next factor in the survival of the BE. It's getting crazzzy.

BE Will survive.

Worst case:
1 Tulane
2 Memphis
3 UCF
4 USF
5 ECU
6 Temple
7 UConn
8 Cincy

if UConn and Cincy go, look for UMass and So Miss to get in. After that, might look at some MAC schools perhaps????

the mwc is only talking to boise which means you could end up with sdsu without boise

You mean if the half dozen or so unconfirmed and conflicting rumors are all true?

More unknowns today than yesterday and there were way too many options yesterday to figure it all out.

Yoda out...

Dude, the BE lost a long time ago. As soon as the ACC started calling.

So be it, if they still want to come. Glad to have them. The travel pressure is on them....four games a year, versus one every other year for the rest.

Who knows...There are several schools playing both sides in an effort to get the best deal. Desperate times and there are a couple schools trying to take advantage of this desperation. Bottom line is these schools will go with whichever conference will bend over the most.

In the long run it will probably be for the best if western schools stay west. I think Houston and SMU would prefer to be in an eastern conference but as we have all seen it will come down to where they can get the most money.

Also based on the actions or lack of action Aresco has taken in regards to the western schools may have been a deliberate attempt to get them to move on...If he was really serious about trying to keep them on board I think he would have worked harder to get a couple of western schools.

I say the Big East builds a 12 team all sports league using the schools already on board...I just do not see Houston and SMU going west.

Well there would be an easy solution to that issue...If you replace Boise St with another eastern school leaving SDSU by themselves with the closest school being in Texas I am sure they would find a way to bolt.

IF the MWC takes Boise and BYU, they're sitting at 12. SDSU could easily justify staying in the Coast-to-Coast MEtro Conference.

No one has lost. Just more smoke and mirrors. No numbers have been posted which means, all things are theoretical at this time. Nothing is final. Wait and watch. The Domino's will begin to move faster now. 03-shhhh

Thanks for the smart retort. It was a typo. Perhaps I should use Ebonics like many posters on these boards. 03-phew

If the MWC sweet talks BSU and SDSU back, then the BE would still be in pretty good condition. It would have two solid anchors in both Texas and Florida. Travel wouldn't be bad to most destinations, given the large cities involved.

I still think the all-sports Eastern vs. Western divisions in a best of the rest configuration would be idea, given the new access bowl set up.

This fight is far from over. Sit back there will be lots of stuff out there in next few weeks from both sides.

A real hot rivalry between the MWC and BE could be cool.

Why not send west coast schools back to they really belong and restart with 8 schools. That was how Big East was for long time.

The Big East has been in the process of losing since Pitt and Syracuse left.
