Hey NJ Redman I like you and enjoy your input but in this case I have to say give it up dude...on this particular topic you don't know what the hell you're talking about...you are just wrong. Just eat crow and move on.

As for the "calling out" thing, you started it (post #13): "They started a brawl last year at the end of the game."
Who did I call out in that post?
Oh no he wasn't. You guys are to close to not be biased.
He has his hands out trying to hold people back and he gets sucker punched by Gates. How gates was able to continue to play the rest of the year is baffling.
Tu started it by putting a hand on Guyn's face. Guyn pushed the hand away, then Dez Wells, seeing that, pushed Guyn down. Tu started what happened at the end, both verbally (talking at Guyn coming down the court) and then by making first physical contact (once Guyn started talking back). Cronin saw it unfolding and went to the ref for a time out (as seen in the video you posted), but couldn't get a time out granted before first contact was made.
If you know anything about Frease, then you would understand why he would be the last candidate for breaking up a fight. His actions in previous meetings and what he did after that meeting would seem to indicate that quelling aggressive behavior isn't exactly in his nature.

Didn't he also go up to Whit Babcock and his wife and scream in their face or something as he was walking off the court?
^^ Yes. he jumped up on teh announcer's table and began shouting at them. He then slapped a phone out of the hands of Larry Davis' wife.
As other have noted Kenny Frease was a goon. The guy was in the middle of fights in high school, his time at Xavier and he had several off the court incidents where he was accused of violence. There was question of him even coming back last year but Mack decided to let him play.
Last year's incident was three years in the making. Three years prior to this incident Frease intentionally head butted Yancy Gates in a game. Frease could not keep up with Gates physically, so he hard fouled him as often as he could for three years. Two years prior to this incident, UC whipped XU at 5/3. Tu Hollaway was locked down and only scored a couple points late in the game. He got frustrated and threw some punches at UC Forward Ibrahima Thomas.
The other thing to note is that all of these players play against one another in the Deveroes Summer League (it is a city wide league run in the summer made of current, former players and other guys from the city who may be playing elsewhere). There have been incidents in those games as well.

I think Superfly's post bears repeating:

You won't see Purdue and Vandy schedule them anymore. Butler is in the A-10 so they have to play now.
THEY aren't too close, wouldn't you agree? subflea, rath_v2.0 and myself were chatting with a Vandy fan at the Liberty Bowl, and he pretty much agreed too.
Has St. John's, heck, Georgetown or the rest of the C7 complained about us?? Marquette and DePaul used to, but that was pretty much about Huggins, and not since
I'm glad Wednesday's game went well (fighting-wise, not just our win). I feel a big part of that is because the clowns on Xavier who mainly participated are no longer there (Frease, Holloway, Lyons and Wells).
Out of all the bs that was spewed over the Crosstown Punchout the "Kenny the peacemaker" angle was by far the most absurd. There was nothing in his prior, or subsequent, actions to indicate he was doing anything of the sort. After getting dropped and crawling to safety he had to prove what a man he was by climbing up on the side of the stands to yell at UC fans and smack a cell phone out of a womans hand. Peacemaker indeed...
gotta say its a bit comical hearing a st. johns fan call a program out when their coach is out buying players. what was the final cost for chris obekpa again?
