Don't forget, the MWC is now the glorified WAC. The more things change the more they stay the same.

It is the SBC turn to pick for the expansion draft of 2012.

And the BE is a glorified C-USA and that C-USA is a glorified SBC. The SBC will be the same as the WAC in a couple years.

Why is it a problem? As an FCS fan (iow - before 2011) I posted on the boards for Texas Tech, Houston, Rice and TCU. None of those folks had any issue with my doing so.

Any fan, at any level, is welcome to do so as long as they do not violate any rules.

I understand the 05-stirthepot but people need to get over it.

I guess he should have framed the question better. Why is a Lamar fan running smack on any FBS board when they haven't made the commitment to play at the next level? Sounds fair to me!04-rock

Why do you consider what I posted smack? The Mountain West was started by WAC teams and next year more WAC teams will be joining them. Doesn't that make the MWC the glorified WAC, especially since WAC football is dead?

I'm a LAMAR fan but I have no idea what the future holds for the Sun Belt or LAMAR and wasn't implying anything, just noting that as schools jockey for better conferences, most end up with the same group they've traditionally been with.

RE: Be a part of something big!
That true about ending up with who you've played traditionally. App State use to play Elon and and Wofford in the 40s and 50s, left in the 70s to play ECU and Marshall, and is back to playing Elon and Wofford since the 90s. Now we are trying to figure out how to be back playing ECU and Marshall again - cycle repeats itself over and over.
