We shouldn't merge with them. Too many mouths to feed without them bringing really anything to the table. CUSA will probably get a decent TV deal if for no other reason but the markets we will be in (Dallas, Miami, Nashville, Birmingham, Houston, Tulsa, San Antonio, etc).

Wish we would go ahead and take WKY and USA and that could hopefully stop this conversation. Both bring decent basketball and I think would be great additions.

If this goob wrote an article stating that the SEC should have annexed FSU and Clemson instead of A&M and Mizzou, he would have come under fire. Yet because it's C-USA/Sun Belt, it's a novel idea!

He couldn't be honest & write about how he wished he could write about CUSA instead of crappy Sun Belt teams.

WKU would be a great addition IMO. I expect it could come soon if something happens with Tulsa or UTEP going to the MWC. WKU would be a nice geographical fit as well, which could actually give CUSA an advantage over the MWC and Big East where they could end up so geographically challenged.

CUSA with WKU, UAB, ODU, and Charlotte is pretty good hoops. If we could hang on to Tulsa and/or UTEP, it would be even better. Of course Marshall, USM, and La Tech are capable of fielding decent basketball programs as well.

South only gets the invite if USM or UAB leaves. USM has a heavy presence already in Mobile (for a team of CUSA level) they are only like 2 hours apart.

It'd be like having ULL ULM and la tech in the same conference...

FAU and FIU have accepted their closeness and need to be together for some reason...

Agree. I think WKU is the clear choice, but if a 2nd school is needed, I'd like to see CUSA go after Ohio, Delaware, or UMass.

And actually while I'm thinking about it, what about VCU? I assume the situation there is that they're not doing much in terms of wanting to develop a football program? Otherwise, I'd love to see VCU, UAB, and ODU back in a league together.

VCU has no plans for football & I believe they may have even had the chance to join when ODU re-joined us.

Instead they opted to go or stay in whatever conference they are in.

Well if you take his point, we nor the SB should exist due to being in the same footprint w/ the SEC or we should combine w/ it. What are the chances of a SEC/CUSA/SB merger????

Yes. He's hoping pass Beas Hamga and Eric Bachelor as best 45-year-old to play for UAB.

There is not any fighting going on.. C-USA is taking who they want and the Sun Belt has to sit there and take it. If this is a fight, when will the Sun Belt throw a punch?
