1. Hot dogs suck
2. Parking sucks
3. Can't get into the park early enough to tailgate
4. Restrooms suck
5. Concessions suck
6. Defense sucks
7. Coach is stubborn
8. Players aren't good
9. Good players aren't playing
10. BoT sucks

Why would a non-fan want to attend a game or be a part of something that the "core" fans themselves aren't pleased with? If we can't focus on the positive, why should others? If we aren't excited about the future of UAB athletics, why should others be? If we can't buy into the vision for the program, why should others? If we are going nitpick, why shouldn't others?

Just because you buy tickets, show up for games, and make donations doesn't mean your attitude or mindset doesn't need to change. It is no different than players showing up to play but not having the right mindset or attitude that it takes to WIN!

Hot dogs are actually good. A few bad experiences have created some type of urban myth. I prefer Legion Field hot dogs to most at any other venue.

How can parking be bad if no one goes to the games. If we averaged 30k, it would be a lot worse.

You are right about the attitude of the fans. It seems that people look for things to complain about.

And you forgot complaints about the band, the DJ. The sun, the crickets, the Alabama shirts, the scoreboard, the neighborhood, the turf and the paint color.

It's the long time fans that were turned off that walked away we need to get back. We also need to get the fans that have no clear cut allegiance. They are out there. If UAB wins consistently people will come to games. Even fans of the two SEC schools. This market is very football savvy. They may not know how to tie a shoe lace or pay their taxes but they know good football. It's time we start playing some.

This is it, build a winning tradition ( string of winning seasons ) and they will come

It's the one and only marketing strategy we have not yet been able to try.

Actually, it's the only marketing strategy UAB seems to want to try. And they are willing to wait years for it to come about (while doing little else).

From a marketing standpoint, nothing will sell like winning. But from a practical standpoint, you get results proportionate to your effort, which explains a great deal of the empty seats at both Legion Field and Bartow Arena.

Coach iterates WTF I have been saying for ages around here... Wrote:"Is it a process? Yes. Is it more of a mental challenge than a physical challenge? Yes, it is. That's what I know going into the second year, that we have to change our mindset so we can achieve a different result."

Really Smaug...?

Do UAB fans expect to lose in a "snatch the football" Lucy-esque fashion?

Oh no... not around here... We have high expectations up in this MOFO, amirite?

Expect fail. Get fail.

I expect coach is gonna turn this ***** around. He does too (and has the mad skillz). But he does need help.

If you want to "play your part" in throwing him under the bus with the same ole hangdog WATSON BROWN BULLS**T then what do you expect will be the result?

We have a real "swapportunity" here people. If you can't see it then you need glasses.

The hot dogs will taste better when we finish above 0.500.

I was just given a glass of ice and a 20oz. bottle of Coke at the last two games. Fine with me.

That was probably the answer to complaints about "watered down colas" when they didn't sell quickly enough to keep from becoming diluted. "Too much water to be a good cola and too much cola to be fresh water."
