No but at a certain point if it becomes obvious that ECU football can't be viable and we are playing for nothing I believe we should start diverting more money into basketball and see if we can't drastically shift our fortunes there. Yeah we are spending a lot of money finally on it (years too late IMO) but if we doubled or tripled the basketball budget maybe we could compete for national relevancy there.

or ©: ESPN is secretively FREAKING OUT seeing that the ACC and their 15 year deal with ESPN and now with their 5 game football deal with ND (plus ND in Mens/Women's Basketball especially) could all come crumbling DOWN.

ESPN has to worry about Notre Dame pulling a TCU (i.e. never even playing a game as a ACC olympic sports or affiliated football member) and stay with NBC and/or worse...sign up with the Big Ten...which would see their Big Ten Network value SOAR.

For the very first time...another network (Big Ten Network) called the shots in this go-around in conf realignment...something ESPN was not use to seeing or even dealing with.

Yeah...the reporter that has probably spewed more tweets about conf expansion over the last 12 months decides NOT to tweet during the biggest expansion move yet.

Don't think so....as for the first time, ESPN was not in control of this latest move (his current employer since the Spring), and now even brass at ESPN and in the ACC are actually "nervous" as to "what the heck did we just do?" in regards to their latest moves with Pitt, Syracuse and Notre Dame...and their 15 year exclusive TV contract.

When UCONN, UofL and UC leave and ALL other possible candidates are exhausted...then we might get asked to play FB. At that point? I would not be interested. We would be better off in CDOA.
