I think if L'Ville jumps to ACC then BE better watch out for MAC maybe poaching Cincy, MAC's brand has been growing and showed strength these last 2 years.

It would sure cut down on travel expenses. Something to think about!

02-13-banana But the ChipOOOOOwas would kick some Bearcat butt, so Cinci better stay where they are at.

So the future is the past. Cincy back to the MAC!

Wait that isn't a new market...

Cincinnati, Marshall and Temple plus UMass hoops in the MAC for all-sports would put the MAC in-line with the MWC.

Now we're looking at MAC teams? Is this seriously what we've become?

RE: Any MAC teams for expansion interest?
This article http://www.gazettenet.com/sports/umasssp...l-football

"Sources connected to the Big East have confirmed that UMass is on their radar"

This article makes it sound like UMass might think twice about accepting if an invite were offered.
"Right now, if Louisville and Cincy leave, the Mid-American Conference is a better football league than the new Big East."

"Basketball is not as obvious. Without the defectors, the Big East basketball league isn’t drastically better than the A-10, although its schools’ name recognition is still worth something."

Never thought a day would come when UMass would be begging to get into the B.E.

No it's better, MAC is looking at a BE team in the case of a collapse 03-wink

Not really, but I'd like Cincy in the MAC even though I know they wouldn't, they'd rather get stuck with the greedy Texas schools.
