USA vs FAU
Battle for the Bottom of the Belt!!

Honest question, and not flaming: Were WKU, or FIU, or any others actually favored in any conferences games during their first year? We are apparently 3 point favorites (essentially a draw, giving us the home field edge). We played better last week, but frankly, surprised to see the early spread. And really, I'd rather we be 10 point dogs right now.

I don't recall ever looking at spreads during our transition but I doubt we were, the Belt was pretty balanced at that moment
USA is doing a fine job right now and with a few Belt teams being down they are right for a USA picking.

ooking back to USA's and FAU's games last Saturday, I'm not surprised that USA is favored. Should be a fun one for both sides though!

Just booked my ticket to Mobile to go see the game. United has a 158 RT special from Houston this weekend. High in the mid 70's and sunny. Should be a great game.

we are just playing bad football now, so any kiss of death on you guys we can use.
Though it would be nice to blow you out of the water to prove to other upstarts you just can't expect to come in a dominate the belt right off the bat, especially when the worst team beats you bad... but I see it being very close either way.

GO OWLS!!!

About the only thing we have dominated teams this year is in penalties and turnovers, so no worries. Just hope we feed off last weeks performance and make this one interesting. Here's to good weather and good attendance.

This game will be very close, but I believe USA wins at home and will cover the spread.

A home win would be huge for us right now. And to do it at Homecoming would really help re-energize the fanbase. Should be a good crowd there this weekend, we need a good showing on the field.

Go Jags!!!!

This is the first home game where we will have good weather. But I have no idea what to expect as far as attendance. It's homecoming, so we should have good student turnout. Not sure what to expect otherwise.

Sadly FAU currently blows copious amounts of chunky badness right now. I cant imagine there would be a lot of excitement to see my Owls.

It is USA's homecoming though, and no offense, but it's our best shot at our first FBS win. We will also have great weather. But our teams are a combined 2-10 right now, so not too much excitement in that regard. I just don't know how all that translates into attendance.

Nope..we came close at Kent State, vs UTSA 03-puke but no cigar as of yet. If we play like we did against stAte on offense and avoid STUPID defensive fouls, we have a good shot this weekend.

We've only played 7 FBS teams lifetime. 2 games at NC State, at Miss State, at Kent State, at stAte, UTSA at home, and Troy at home

How did we go from the quickest start-up program to win a bowl game, to being team's first FBS win?
Good God....

3 years of poor recruiting. But we aren't their first FBS win yet. From what I understand, we had a players-only meeting after the ULM loss organized by the seniors and thenm went out and had our best practices of the season. I think FAU puts together a good effort this week.

USA fans...is there any way to watch the game?
