EA Sports coming to this weekend's game
against freaking Nicholls St.

To refresh your memory: http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2012/...abama.html

On top of it being at the one FCS game on our schedule, the fan base was just informed of this a few hours ago, when EA has apparently been on campus for several days.

How embarassing.

Yikes. EA Sports just keeps doing the wrong things... Sigh. They should definitely have gone to the USA-Troy game!

We should, better, win this one. For what it's worth, very well could be out only win this year. I'm hoping for more, but don't want to over expect for this season.

We won't lose, but damn I wish they would've chosen to come to the Troy/USA game instead.

Really disappointed in our admin on this one. They've known about this for several days, but just now let it out, on a facebook post to an event group with less than 200 people in it. Not on their own facebook page with over 6,000+, not on the fan page I run with over 2,600+, but less than 200 people. They could've got on the radio or the tv about this and tried to advertise the hell out of it. Instead, it looks like "Ho hum, EA will be at tomorrow's game. That is all." I tell ya, we're on a roll lately.

Frustrating when things get handled like this. (You should check out Panther fans' reactions to athletic decisions over on the GSU boards sometime.)

Still, cool that EA's taking care of y'all like that. I hope it comes out great!

I think maybe all of our administrations suffer from this. Maybe its not having the unlimited funds of Big State U to hire staff to oversee all the minutiae.

RE: EA Sports coming to this weekend's game
There's a reason they were voted worst company in America for 2012. I could not be more happy their football franchise sales are dwindling and they're trying to sell off the company. Honestly, EA Sports' business practices sicken me. Saw a Madden commercial the other day that said "The physics engine is the biggest upgrade ever" - ESPN. Never mind the fact that ESPN & Madden are synonymous so they're just endorsing their own product. Absolutely disgraceful, I know there's a lot of cutthroat companies in America but they take the cake IMO.
