RE: Sun Belt Attendance?
Cajuns wound up with a little under 26000 with the downpour before and during some of the game. I think with nicer weather we'd have topped 30000.

Don't beleive that anyone can argue that the Cajuns have and will continue to have the best attendance........by far.......in the Belt. A tribute to their fans & followers.

Thank you, sir.
And we're doing it in our own stadium.
Just wish all of us were better road-team fans.

Sun Belt Attendance?
About 17,500 in Mobile for USA. The game was moved from Thursday night to Saturday afternoon due to Isaac. The last minute move kept a lot of people away (holiday wknd plans).

And the heat didn't help - I'm sure.

RE: Sun Belt Attendance?
Tail gated from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm. Fought, 4 down pours, heat, humidity, lightening, wind, red ants everywhere looking for high ground (on my feet, legs, arms and back), a NOAA flood warning that made my tail gate neighbors spot look like Lake Ponchitrain (all I needed was my fishing poll and some worms). Yet, every tail gate spot was full, pre-game. UL only counts butts in seats, but there were probably another 5,000 to 7.000 that did not go in. I had to leave just before half time from the pain from ant bites. There was a ton of folks still in the lot listening to game.
Very proud of our fans yesterday and the students showed in mass.

Off topic but I HATE fire ants. They're EVERYWHERE down here. They need to go away forever.

I will be treating my spot with Amdro the night before the next home game. Guaranteed

Start hitting it now with a bait that sterilizes the queen. Merit (if my memory serves right) is a good one. Then hit it before gameday with Amdro. Just my 2 cents.

I got there at 8:00am to tailgate and it was already stifling. Not even the breeze helped.
But once the generator got up and running and the oscillating fans got plugged in, it was bearable.
I drank a water for every beer just to be safe.
But it was bad. By the time we got everything set up, I looked like I had been swimming.
That's Gulf Coast weather for you.

Did you know fire ants were accidentally brought into America through a South American ship that landed in the port of Mobile?

So it's MOBILE'S fault!! More reason to dislike South Alabama. I kid, I kid. I didn't know that, actually. Thanks for the info. Now I know where the evil things that swarm my bathroom come from, originally!

Yeah. Zeebart, you might be thinking of the Africanized honey bees. I think they did go in through Texas. The bees and the exotic Florida snakes and monitor lizards we aren't responsible for!

Well you can thank the Mcllhenny's/tabasco for water hyacinths and nutria rats if we are talking about invasive species.
