Both are outside the conference "footprint".

While I root for conference of my team, I admit, it would be fun to watch prirate heads explode if they lost, I would love to see App st. in the sunbelt.

Hanging tough. Refs just made an attrocious PI call on 3rd and long on a ball that was 5 feet out of bounds. That one hurt. We have been shooting ourselves in the foot and its still close, can't complain. 21-13 start of the 4th, gotta cut down on mental mistakes.

Wheels have come off, 35-13 ECU with 7:30 left. One possession game going into the 4th but it looks like the heat is just wearing our guys down. Day like this it's near impossible to make up for the difference in depth, but I think this was a pretty good showing by our guys either way.

I don't know the exact number but that seems about right. That one I already mentioned was a joke but the rest were just us shooting ourselves in the foot, which is good and bad. Bad in that we need to fix that, but good in that we can't fix that and we still had a very good showing for three quarters even with our mental mistakes.

No offense, but I'm glad you don't get to see us eat crow. I was nervous when it was 14-13 in the 3rd Q though.

Screw media markets. AppState has a great program and a great fan base. I enjoyed interacting with them today.

Hottest game I have been to in my life. Just read in Greenville newspaper blog that it was 111 degrees and huge humidity factor, I believe it. They said that they had five city buses taking over 300 people to the hospital and had set up 18 additional medical sites because of heat exhaustion, etc. From 50,000 it was down to 25,000 after halftime and a lot less by the end of the game. Don't know how the players made it through the game. They need to change the name of their stadium to "the oven". Great game for three quarters though. Congrats Pirates, and the stadium looked even better than last time. Hope those nBE powers that be wake up soon for you guys. Almost felt like a home game talking to fans before the game, good people.

Yep and if you give App a chance to grant those additional scholarships think what they could do.

They could definitely help improve a conference like the Belt.

Yeah App is a quality football program and gave us a tough game. Both teams missed some opportunities early, and then our depth just eventually wore them down. It was a great competitive game though and of course they would be a great addition to any non-AQ league. Of course markets dictate all sadly.
