RE: CBS SPORTS POLL
WKU was only a few plays from having a losing record last year, but at the same time WKU was only a few plays away from winning 5-6 games the year before. Any team can have a bad year but I do expect a solid season for WKU this year. With the recruiting classes that we have been bringing in over the past three years and adding the 4 and 5 star players not included in those recruiting classes, I beleive we are due for a breakout year. I am aware that Troy has been top of the belt in the past, but things have changed in the sunbelt and teams have improved by leaps and bounds. I don't think Troy had regressed as much as the rest has caught up last year.

That would be sick!!! Hopefully both teams are undefeated when they meet.

that's heresy. heresy i tell you. NOBODY has caught up. it was a perfect storm of bad. you'll see when they ditka the rest of the league to a tune of 326-0 this year.

book it.

CBS Poll picked the Cajuns dead last season at 120, so I don't take them to seriously. While it's nice to get some pre-season exposure, FIU, ASU, WKU, UL and Troy all have good shots at finishing at the top of the SBC.

We know theyll open a can of whoop ass on the ULL ragin cajuns

I don't think they will whip the Cajuns in Lafayette this year. Hudspeth will have his team ready to play WKU after last years game. I expect ULM to be ready as well for UL at home.

wow....that sounds remarkably like what cajun fans said last year. that hud would have them ready since we beat you at home the year before ending our losing streak.

but then a similar result happened.

don't get me wrong. i don't have us winning a game other than the austin peay game and that's iffy with our fcs history.

just pointing out the ol' revenge factor didn't exactly work last year.

If WKU beats us at home again, WKU will officially usurp ASU as my most hated in conference foe.

beed....two reasons I make this prediction. first, Hudspeth was undefeated at home last season and to have a shot at the sbc championship we must repeat that result. second, they have seen the knock off video of wku athletes dancing and saying "what's my name" after beating ul. ul used that saying as a rallying call all last season, so you can expect the video of wku athletes dancing and mocking ul will be used to motivate his team. Hud is a master as taking such things and using to his advantage. I expect Hud to be fully ready for WKU and ASU at Cajun Field.
