Also had a preferred walk-on offer from Wisconsin.

Seems like yet another reach by this staff early in the recruiting process. We should really only be recruiting athletes that have several *s at this point. Then take the unknowns late in the process.

I don't give 2 bleeps about the rating services. Some of these kids that arent rated by them is because the people at the rating services never see any film of them. So in reality they could be several star players.

If you look at Fuesell from Lincoln Way East, he may be a potential QB for us who is also 6'3''. We seem to be getting bigger QB's as we get to be a bigger program.

RE: 2013 Official Verbal Thread
From Wisconsin sports

Maybe Doeren thinks Wimann can be a JJ Watt type of DE.

"When all is said and done, the 2013 crop of tight ends could be a bumper one across Wisconsin. Strong at the top, several lesser-known products could surprise and push this class over the top."

Here is WisconsinHigh.com's preseason list of top 10 performers, plus some other players who could climb the rankings this fall.

"3. Shane Wimann, Wisconsin Dells
This 6-6, 220-pounder ran and caught the ball for the Chiefs last year, who suffered through a 2-7 season. However, Wimann, who also is a defensive terror, committed to play at Northern Illinois under former Badgers assistant coach Dave Doeren. Wimann averaged more than five yards per rush and 13.7 yards per catch a year ago; the problem was that he didn't get many chances. Hopefully this year heâ€ll get more opportunities to take advantage of his physical skills."

We've offered Poker, but it looks like he's waiting for a Minnesota offer. Wisconsin's lack of available scholarships this year will accrue to our benefit.

"Oconomowoc's Zach Poker has several D-1 offers.
4. Zach Poker, Oconomowoc
The 6-4, 220-pound Poker has five offers, including those from Air Force, Central Michigan and Army. The first-team Little Ten Conference performer hauled in only 14 catches but turned them into 276 yards for a 19.7 average. He is strong and athletic, but not a serious down-field threat who needs to improve his route running. Poker was named the top tight end at the National Underclassmen Combine in Chicago in April."

Nice shout out in the Trib about him today in its list of top 50 high school players in the state. Hope his commitment stays strong.

Yet another verbal from Aurora Christian, although he is a recent transfer there. Looks like we are finally establishing a recruiting pipeline with many of the West Surburban schools.

Considering the success that west suburban schools (Montini, IC, Wheaton Warrenville South, Lemont, etc) have had in the state playoffs it's a wise strategy

Not exactly killer stats, as they seem to be more of a running team. Plus I question the level of competition they are playing. Regardless DD must see something is this guy.

Here's some video of Jerseyville's most recent game with QB Mitch Kimble. Jerseyville is in white and you can see offensive drives starting at the 10, 19 and 51 minute marks of the video. Kimble runs a lot in this game.

Chad Beebe breaks his arm. Joel Bouagnon has 202 yards rushing on 17 carries.

Assuming Beebe is out for 6 weeks he should be back for the playoff run.

Another nice game for Joel Bouagnon:

They play Montini next Friday night. I may go to that one to see Bouagnon and Brandon Mayes.
