I believe Montverde is where Jackson and Gaines went to school.
And thanks everyone for all the updates. Much appreciated.

Jackson did spend his junior season at Montverde, but was at Arlington Country Day as a senior which is when he played with Kelvin...

Quote:Back From Cincy, Russell to Visit Kentucky Monday
BY ADAM ZAGORIA ON JUNE 24, 2012, 11:52PM
D’Angelo Russell enjoyed his visit to Cincinnati last week and heads to Kentucky for another visit Monday, SNY.tv has learned.
...
Kentucky has yet to offer a scholarship, but Angelo said Cincinnati, Louisville, Ohio State and Missouri all have.
“Everybody has offered a scholarship except for Kentucky and Purdue has shown interest,” Angelo said.
As for the Cincinnati visit, the family loved it.
“It was a wonderful visit,” Angelo said. “It kind of shocked me. I didn’t know that Cincinnati’s campus was that nice. I didn’t really know the college was that nice so it was a shocking experience. It was more than what we expected.”

RE: 2014 Basketball Recruiting Thread
UK will send "another batch," as Calipari calls his incoming classes of new hires, to the League next spring, and he'll offer Mr. Russell, who will quite possibly sign on, calling it his dream offer. Or he'll stay home and call it his dream school. It is nice to hear great comments about how UC surprised him. Assuming he doesn't slip down the charts over the next year-plus, we will have only those nice words to live with. I would love to be mistaken about this likelihood, and will greatly admire the first player who could go "anywhere" but turns down the lucrative opportunities elsewhere to play at UC. But until that happens, this is destined to fit the pattern.

RE: 2014 Basketball Recruiting Thread
Jared Terrell (2014 SG) – Terrell’s newest scholarship offer came from Connecticut to join his impressive list including Cincinnati, Iowa, Iowa State, Rutgers, Miami, Florida, Providence, Boston College and St. John’s. He said that he’s been in contact with everyone on that list since June 15th acknowledging Cincinnati as the school that’s been coming at him the hardest in that time. In addition to these offers, Terrell has heard from the Kansas staff recently as well. They have yet to extend a scholarship offer but are planning to watch Terrell in July and are actively recruiting him. He declined to mention any favorites in his recruitment at this time stating that it’s way too early to tell. Terrell plans to sit down with his parents after the AAU season and discuss potentially trimming his list but for now he is still adding offers, not narrowing things down.

Quote:KENTUCKY HOSTS 2014 GUARDS
Kentucky head coach John Calipari may be the best salesman in college basketball, but it takes a well-rounded staff of assistant coaches to make a head coach as successful. Leave it to Kenny Payne to make a great impression on Mondays in-state visitor, D'Angelo Russell . The 2014 6-foot-4 combo guard from Montverde Academy (FL) - a Louisville, KY native - took an unofficial visit to Kentucky on Monday and thoroughly enjoyed it. "Coach Kenny Payne was the highlight of the visit," Russell told Rivals.com following the visit. "Just the way he cares for his guys stood out. He made it noticeable to me." Russell - who has yet to receive a Kentucky offer - is being heavily recruited by Cincinnati, Missouri, Louisville, Purdue, Ohio State, Tennessee and more. After visiting Cincinnati last week and recently adding offers from Virginia and Missouri, the final pre-July visit for the No. 16 rising junior in the Rivals50 could be to Tennessee within the coming days. Following the Russell visit, the reigning national champions will host Jaquan Lyle , a 2014 6-foot-4 combo guard from Evansville Bosse (IN), for a campus visit on Tuesday. Ranked one spot ahead of Russell at No. 15 in the Rivals50 for the class of 2014, he is fielding looks from Cincinnati, Louisville, Illinois, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Tennessee and many more.

Here are a few guys to look into for this class. PF Quadri Moore (NJ), PG Melo Trimble (DC), G Wade Baldwin IV (DC), PF Andre Walker (MD). You also probably know PF Jackson Davis, SF Trey Grundy, and SG Jordan Green, all three from Kentucky.
