we're not worried in that regard. Arkansas fans would absolutely riot if they fired Petrino.

We are very much giggling however, well either that or we are encouraging downcast razorback fans that if they ever wanted to switch alleigances, that our coach is definately not having an affair...his wife would snap him like a twig.

Atleast the ASU AD put in that 2mil buyout!

He's already on paid administrative leave. He is in pretty darn hot water right now. Its not so much about the affair in as much as that it was with a subordinate. That's lawsuit country.

He said it was a "previous" relationship.....so, did it occur when she was a student and how much did that influence her hiring by him? I think we all know that answer. Messy Messy!!

Petrino's not going anywhere. He will be punished, but not fired. The interesting thing is the young lady involved. Was she using her attractiveness to get a leg up in the athletic administration?

She was hired about a week ago if I am not mistaken making a little over $50K a year. A week after this girl was hired by BP it has come out that an innapropriate relationship has been going on.

I just wonder if all the zealots out there that claimed an affair by Houston Nutt was the reason they wanted him out (we all know it was record/the Golden Child Mustain family) also come out now with the inproprieties by BP. I have a feeling they won't. It is amazing what winning will do for you!

That buyout is misleading. Its 2 million if we fire without cause in his first year. He has to pay us back what is the equivolant to his salary should he void the deal after Year 1

Believe I heard she was engaged to like the swimming or track coach.

Also speculation is that behind closed doors the AD is trying to surmise who they could possibly get to replace him.

Two speculated targets: Malzahn and Butch Davis. The espn radio host questioned he idea of Davis, but whoever it was they were interviewing said Davis hasn't been specifically named any of the subsequent reports of that scandal at UNC.

Lied to his family.
Lied to the press.
Lied to his boss.
Hired his engaged mistress as his direct report on the public payroll, exposing his university to a potential lawsuit?

I can't him surving this.

Be interesting to see if the University of Arkansas has the stones to fire him, or whether having a winning SEC football program is more important to them...

Keep in mind this is the same Bobby Petrino who left the Atlanta Falcons very abruptly mid-season without warning and was on the runway negotiating with Auburn while Louisville's coach. He's lied before and he's never had to face the consequences of his actions. Time will show if he will have consequences this time or not. I just don't see how he can go in and look recruits and parents in the eyes and actually believe what he tells them.

For the conference I hope they don't go after Malzahn. I think his name will bring some attention to the conference next season as SEC fans check in to see how he's doing. I do see ArKansas getting rid of this guy. He'll take a year off and land at USC in a couple of years when they get rid of Kiffin. I know USC had a good year this past year, but that won't last.
