The scoop is also that Georgia State is expected to try and join for the 2013-2014 season all sports so they can avoid having to pay the soon to be raised CAA exit fee's.

I think this makes it more likely that Charlotte will get the next invite. At the moment UTSA fits more with the CUSA plus they are already playing football. I still think we could loose FIU and MT to CUSA.

This is off topic but I think we seriously need to implement exit fee's. Even the CAA has a 250,000+ tv rights exit fee.

Well, if true, I believe in the future this move will ultimately be damaging to MTSU, USA, WKU and Troy and therefore the conference as a whole.
However, until that time arrives, I will welcome Ga State into the fold and look forward to seeing South Alabama play regularly near my home.

Well thankfully Benson has decided he is not waiting until the last minute to get going. With Georgia St we now have 11 football members before any raiding has happened.

I hope you're correct but I still think exit fees should be raised for all new programs, not just Ga State. If the SBC gives anyone a home in the these turbulent times the conference deserves a payoff if they get a chance to move on in the future.

Not greatly excited about GSU, but at least we know something. That is a plus.

And that does bring my Jags to within about 1.5 hours of where I now live, so that is good.
