First off, thank you all for the congrats in all the other threads; you guys rock.

I just want to mention that no UofL player made the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd all-Big East team this season. I wonder if this has ever happened before, where a Final Four team has zero players on it's conference's first three teams.

I think this points to having team effort instead of one or two stars on the team. National Title would be way better than any individual award. GO CARDS!

I hope you don't mind but I adopted Louisville as my second favorite team a little while ago right when we both entered the BE and the Bearcat's program was in shambles. Needless to say congratulations on the victory and the FF bid, what a game. That is truly a telling statistic indicative of the degree of unselfishness and the amount of depth Louisville has on the roster. Pitino has still got it! I'm already looking forward to next season where I think Cincy, Louisville, and Syracuse will be the class of the BE.

Louisville was having a good but not great season until the Big East tournament. 10-8 with zero wins over the top six teams in conference before tournmanet play hardly equals a ton of individual awards; however, like UConn last year the Cards started to figure out how to win with type of team they had.

Also, Louisville is very balanced. Another balanced team like Cincinnati didn't win a lot of awards either. Louisville had more depth than the Bearcats which made it difficult to single out a certain player. South Florida was another team built on defense with balanced scoring that didn't dominate the awards.

With all that being said, I am sure Louisville placed on the all tournament team in the Big East. Wasn't Siva the MVP in the Garden?
