Ruby's and Morton's are chains. Well at leats Morton's is. I klnow there is more than one Ruby's, but not sure if it is a natioanl chain, or they just have more than one.

I much prefer Del Friscos. The price is better, the steaks are better, and they have an awesome side dish known as the Green Phunke thant is just awesome. The one in Louisville is the original. Tde ones in other areas that are owned by longhorn steakhouse are not the same company, but a ripoff version sold by an ex partner.

Best steak I ever had was in Las Vegas. Don;t remember the name of the restaurant, I only remember when I walked in, you coudl see the whole loins aging in glass as you walked in. It was the first time I had ever had a dry aged prime beef steak, so of course it created a lasting memory. For those who don't know the difference, when you go to a high end steakhouse, and you see "USDA prime aged beef" sign, know that your steak will cost twice or three times as much as say an Outback or Longhorn Steakhouse, but the steak will be three times as good. I have yet to try a Kobe steak, which I would love to get a hold of, but I don't know of any place locally that sells them.

In another bit of irony, Texas Roadhouse is based in Louisville as well.

Jeff Ruby has in Cincy, Ruby's, The Precinct, Walnut St. Grille, Carlo & Johnny's. I think the Waterfront is closed since that barge took an unexpected trip down the river.

Then Ruby has the place in Ville, and a steakhouse @Belterra Casino.
Ruth Chris is opening in Cincy, downtown @ the Banks development.
We have a Mortons here but not a big fan.

Biggest claim to fame at Jeff Ruby's was a couple of Derbys ago The owner refused to serve OJ Simpson and his party. OJ left quietly and said He understood. Some of the local civil rights leaders spoke up but public opinion was against OJ. Wasn't a racial thing it was determined and never gained traction.
Forgot about Texas roadhouse. Also have Logan's roadhouse herehere
