WTF BCS?
So 7-5 Auburn and 7-5 Texas deserve to be ranked over 10-2 Arkansas State, 9-3 Cincinnati, and 9-3 BYU? I'm beginning to think the B in BCS stands for bull01-scout.

RE: WTF BCS?
BCS rankings are simply an aggregation of a number of polls (computer and human).

You're mad at a formula. Get upset at the Coaches and Harris Polls, and Peter Wolfe, Wes Colley, Sagarin, Seattle Times, Richard Billingsley, and Kenneth Massey rankings.

Money Talks, and until the SunBelt has enough money to back all their teams like the SEC and other big conferences, it will always stay the same. I am with you, I think stAte had a kick ass season, but none of the polls give a sh*t about the little guys.

The problem with this jerrymandered system is that there will be no non-AQ's in a BCS game. One loss Boise (ranked #8) goes to a secondary game while the Big East Champ goes to the BCS simply because Boise lost to TCU who wound up #18 in the standings. TCU does not get a BCS game and the BCS picks another AQ rep' as their at large selection. That mess cost the non-AQ's about $9 million.

The loss of these dollars doesn't effect the bigger non-AQ's, however, those non-AQ's in the $10-$15 million range could really use that money to pay coaches, market their programs, etc.

It really is a system designed for the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer.

I think ASU has gotten a lot of respect in the polls and a number 34 ranking in the BCS is nothing to sneeze at for a non-AQ team. If they win their bowl game they may get ranked in the top 25 in a poll or two.

That their HC was able to land a SEC job after one year does not hurt them in their efforts to attract a quality HC either.

There is no down side to going 10-2, none whatsoever, and the future at ASU looks very promising.

God I hate this mess. something has GOT to change, it's just so blatantly unfair. the thing that annoys me the most is when fans of the AQ schools turn their nose at us and say things to the affect of "we should just be happy we're FBS and know our place."

Sounds just like the UT-obKNOXiousville president, who said MT didn't need a new science building, and we are getting "too big for our britches". The rich get greedy.
