No one is going to hire away the coach of the 3rd place belt team.

:) A few do.
Our Governor sits in that middle section of the upper deck....and has for many years. He doesn't miss many games, but I believe he did miss the Tuesday game this year.

This was a really good game, with two surprisingly good teams. I believe we are both headed for a very good future if we can hang on to our coaches long enough.

As I tell Cajun fans about Hudspeth, there really isn't anything either program can do if a better program is ready to dump money on either coach. Both are Southern boys, so I don't anticipate either going out west away from family just for money. In the long run, if both are hired away two things will have happened for both programs, they will be prepared to win with a new staff and improvements to the programs will already be in place. Its really a no lose situation.

If we lose our coach, I promise you the caliber of applicants will be much higher than it was this time last year and I think we did pretty good with the applicants we had... don't you? 03-shhhh
What people who are not familiar with ASU do not get is that there should have been a few 7-8 win seasons in the 9-year Roberts era at ASU. Even last year’s 4 win team should have won 6-7 and it took incompetency at a level rarely seen even at ASU for them to not to do so.

One reason at ASU floundered under Roberts was that loyalty trumped competency with him.

The biggest change at ASU and UL(L) for that matter, is that the new HC put together staffs that are competent. The talent was already there and waiting.

Congratulations!! Drove up Friday and drove home after the game, got in my bed at 3:00am Sunday.. It was a good trip, you guys have great fans, very loud... Other than losing and being cold, i enjoyed it...

Glad to see we made it close... Too many turnovers... sigh...

I have my reservations and my deposit on my tickets to the New Orleans Bowl, hope that works out for us...
