FAU is not, there is no FAU coverage in the Miami Herald, no coverage in the Miami/FTL TV stations (CBS 4, NBC 6, FOX 7 and ABC 10) and no coverage in the local sports radio station (560, 790, 940). FIU is not in the WPB market.
I live in Boca and get all of those channels/stations. I hate to break it to you, but you don't get much coverage on them either.
I believe demograpically, it's the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale maket. We are most definately in the "Ft. Lauderdale" part of the market. As for the newspaper coverage, you get the Herald, we get the Sun Sentinel and Palm Beach Post.
Lastly....who really cares? The original point was that to a conference liek CUSA, the schools are basically the same (i.e. both can fill the same role in Florida that UCF did). Besides, if CUSA takes one of our schools, they are also taking the other. Now let me go back to the strawberry-field work that Palm Beach County is so famous for!

I look forward to seeing how C-USA handle this.
Wow, a real C-USA person coming over to our lowly message board to give his blessings to some of our schools for them to join.
Thanks ever so much for visiting, we are so honored by your presence.
BTW, is UAB football going to even survive?

Uh alright, I was just giving my opinion, I see now why C-USA posters rarely post here. For what it's worth, I like the Sun Belt, there's usually a lot of parody (especially this year), which is always fun. And don't worry about us, we'll be fine once that SOB is where he belongs.

I have no problem with people like you posting here Blazer. But I do get upset when some of your fellow conference mates come over here for the sole purpose of ridiculing the belt and bragging about themselves(UCF fans for example).

I definitely understand, we do have some arrogant posters for whatever reason.

Just messing around. A parody would be fun too.

Adding both of them to CUSA doesn't really give them too much more of a market share, which is why many are predicting one or the other goes. They are on fairly even footing on the pecking order with both having strengths and weaknesses. They are not the same program, but they offer (roughly) the same package to CUSA. That is why MTPiKapp made the statement. Not as a slam to either institution.
Good grief, I go a couple of days without visiting and something I said turned into a complete sh*tstorm.
This above that I quoted, was exactly what I was saying.
Not that they are literally the same program, not that one is just as good as the other, not that you could throw them both into a hat close your eyes and draw one out and be happy with the results.
As Freshtop, RaiderATO, Panama...and just about everyone who isn't a FAU or FIU fan saw, I was simply saying that they aren't going to take both because what they would be looking to accomplish, can be accomplished by taking just one.
If both of you had off the charts attendance and the football success that Troy has had, you'd both be going, but the number one need that either of you fill is having a presence in Florida. After that the conference will do it's due diligence as FIUFan said to distinguish which program is the better pick to fit CUSA's needs, but I will be shocked if CUSA were to take both.
