Until the Commish of the B12 AND the AD from WVU speaks I place no credence in the report.

Something about even BIGGER dollars.
Maybe one day in the not too distant future, those schools will decide that the bottom half of each conference are "leeches" and decide to jettison them to make an even more exclusive club........
There's definitely a fine line when it comes to loyalty and survival in college football..............

The 10th for the Big 12 will not come from the Big East because of the 27 month waiting period. The Big 12 TV contract will be void if the do not have 10 teams.

BYU will probably be #10 with the others attending in two years. Texas will approve this, as they are against the playoff, and can say, "see we have 12, but we are waiting on their commitment elsewhere."

I just hate when people post "some sh!t some guy thinks" as if a REPORTER is actually REPORTING that a conference IN FACT has made some sort of DECISION.

Tulane is looking more and more like a player in this. Thats the school Delouse Dodds mentioned a few weeks ago.

That is why Missouri will be staying next year. The cavalry will arrive in 2013.

This report does not add up. So Mizzou is going to leave for SEC in 2012 but WVU is not coming back on board till 2014? The Big 12 is going to be the Big 9 for two seasons?
So Fox is going to be cool with this? They are going from 45 inventory conference games to 36 per season.....and that's ok? They already let them lose the Championship game when Colorado and Nebraska left and didn't penalize the.... now this? Something doesn't add up here.

If Mizzou stays, we stay at 10....Louisville and Cinci bring nothing to the Big 12, we already leeches like Baylor and Iowa State...

I would be shocked if Temple is considered, media speculation notwithstanding. Villanova's efforts to block Temple weren't about keeping them out of the basketball conference, they were about keeping Temple out of the conference entirely.
I agree with you about Temple because I suspect that the Catholic schools are voting as a block at this point & are therefore supporting Temple.
OTOH, I don't see Villanova upgrading football. AT this point, the dollars just aren't there to make it worth the investment.

I won't believe that Mizzou will leave the B12 till I see the deal signed. Too many Missourians either want them to stay in the B12 or if they move conferences go to the B10 which as we all know has no interest in adding Mizzou as they have a large foothold in that state already.
BE needs to get the football invites out there asap and get some positive media attention for a change. If Navy, AFA or Boise is still deciding their future; announce the candidates you know will accept quickly (UCF, SMU and/or Houston); the conference needs to show some competence and decisiveness and that it's proactive instead of constantly being reactive.

WVU is their most marketable football program. You sure they just hand it over?
Of course I think Big East is toast and everyone knows it is falling apart. They likely could have any team next year at this rate.

You guys get no respect. If the ACC loses schools you can bet they will turn to Temple at some point. We've got no Villanova hangup. V just can't grow a football program overnight with no stadium and no credibility. They're like 1-6 I think right now. They shouldn't even be a consideration by the Big East.

I hope so. If the ACC gets over their faux-elitism pertaining to US News Rankings, we're a slam dunk (no pun intended) for the ACC. Nova in the ACC?

I looked it up a week ago or so. If I remember right you guys are like 120-something. That's not far off from State and FSU at 101. I think the objection line is further down, such as to where WVU is at #164. And even if some improvement is asked then it's not too much of a stretch to envision with the improvements you posted on the ACC board to get under 100.
