Former Denver B-Ball Player
Not often we hear of Denver athletes after they leave the school....much less the transition this gentleman made.

Other 'Famous' University of Denver Athletes:

Hoops
-David Adkins (70s DU hoopster who beame better known as 'Sinbad' (Actor/TV star/Comedian)
-Phil Heath (Mr. Olympia 2011)
-Vince Boryla (US Olympian/Former Coach and GM, New York Knicks
-Byron Beck - Denver Rockets/Nuggets (Retired Number)
-Gregg Popovich (Did not play at Denver, but got his grad degree here before becoming coach of the NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs

Football:
-Sam Etcheverry - Canadian football Hall of Fame player and coach
-Ed Estlow - Later became chairman of Scripps Newspapers
-Floyd Little - (Did not play football for DU, but got a masters degree here during his Hall-of-Fame NFL career as a Broncos RB)

Hockey (some of our 60+ alumni who have played in the NHL:
-Glenn Anderson (Six Stanley Cups, Hockey Hall of Fame)
-Keith Magnuson (Chicago Blackhawks player and coach)
-Craig Patrick (NHL Player, Miracle on Ice asst. coach, Stanley Cup winning GM with Pittsburgh)
-Paul Stastny - Colorado Avalanche Star, 2010 US Olympian
-Kevin Dineen - 20+ NHL Career, All Star, now coach of Florida Panthers

Dan Schatzeder - Winning Pitcher, 1987 World Series Game 2

Suzy Chaffee (Skiing) known as 70s TV pitchwoman "Suzy Chapstick"
Michelle Kwan (Skating)-One of the best known female athletes in the world (okay, she was famous before graduating from Denver in '09)
