Insanity would be giving tech any kind of concession over a charter SBC football member after their years of thumbing their nose at all of us.

You should be thanking him, you wouldn't have to make that ridiculous trip to Logan, UT every other year.

Adding New Mexico State is moronic, adding Utah State is certifiably insane.

FWIW- I agree with you, if Tech is invited, I am not in support of putting ULM and Tech in different divisions.

EDIT: or perhaps we put you guys in separate divisions and then just make you permanent cross divisional rivals. 04-cheers

No, we're not Harvard, but the bolded part is wrong.

You do realize that he's saying no one is going to get hired simply because they have a degree from La Tech(like someone would with a Harvard man) rather than no one with a La Tech degree can get hired, right? The first statement, what he was actually saying, is not an insult it's simply pointing out that La Tech does not carry enough clout to get someone a job just based off where they went to school, the second one which it could have certainly been read that way, is certainly an insult.

And if you realized what he was saying and still think it's incorrect, perhaps it would be incorrect in Ruston, but aside from that...

Yes, I can read. And yes, he is wrong. Many chemical engineers in Louisiana, East Texas, and Arkansas are hired because of the name on their sheepskin. It is a very respected program.

I like how a Tech fan used the old spelling police comeback when called out. This is a college football board not a classroom. If you want to talk academics go find Harvard and Princeton grads and let them personally show you how inferior Tech academics are to theirs. No one in the world thinks of Tech when they mention the top Universities in the nation even though (Tech academics are excellent.)

And MTPK was right I was not insulting Tech with my statement. I was just stating get over yourselves and your sense of entitlement. I don't think Oregon's superior academics to Auburn helped them very much in their national championship.
