UL vs FIU
What can we expect from UL in this SBC match-up? FIU is wearing the bulls-eye, so who's gettin' a piece of them before we do?

From the Cajun side, I know FIU is going to be seeing a hard hitting, go get-em defense with a great secondary. Our D-Line has been causing a lot of problems for opposing offenses too.
Hopefully we'll see QB Blaine Gauthier, who will surprise some people if the coaches make him our outright starter (scary that we still don't know going into the fourth game). On paper our offense looks like it puts up enough points to win games, but watching it in person doesn't give me a ton of confidence yet.
If TE Ladarius Green finally becomes part of the game, Alonzo Harris/Qyen Griffin get it going on the ground, and Blaine plays a full game as a starter, I think we'll have some glimpse of hope.
FIU is downright scary though. I hope we put up a good showing against them. Can't wait for the game.
(I really like FIU's unis too)

I'm telling you as a witness (UNT vs FIU) that the Golden Panthers are the real deal.

We are just hoping that we can stay on the same field with you guys. The game could very well be over by halftime.

Yes, hope the Cajuns offense can get it going. Otherwise it will be 3 and pUNT all night long.

Last year in Lafayette, I thought Gauthier was the better of the two QB's. The starter seemed to get rattled after a couple of hits. Gauthier was built like a brick house.

Many of us are not thrilled with the QB position right now. Production needs to improve, and take better care of the ball. But, Gauthier has earned the right to start IMO. He is definitely a very good athlete.

There are no 'cake walks' in D-I college football.
Don't believe me. Strap on a helmet and take a hit from a 250 lb LB who runs a 4.5/40....then talk to me about cake walks.

Then I guess we can say that cake walks are only seen in the rear view mirror.
