NIU and Toledo will duke it out for MAC West supremacy. That much is clear. Unfortunately, Toledo has a defense and NIU does not.
Unfortunately also, Wisconsin is going to carve up NIU in ways that are going to be very painful.
Listening to ESPN College Gameday last night, Robert Smith said Wisconsin has its 3rd "cupcake" in a row on the schedule with NIU and that they are already looking at Nebraska. Ouch. I have a lot of respect for Smith because he isn't the typical blowhard on ESPN.

I think for the Wisconsin defense we won't be a cupcake. But overall, unless our defense plays way better, we will be a cupcake. I think our players will be a little more comfortable at Soldier Field and with a real game under their belt they'll improve some. I just hope to make a decent game of it.
You're leaving out WMU. They have a good passing attack, and as we've seen, that's a real threat to us.

Import Wilson has made Wisky into a much more powerful team to defend.
Score will likely get ugly early, especially if we cannot run and play fake successfully.

Wisky will win the Big 10 again. Nobody is going to stop that Offense. Wilson is a tremendous talent, you'd think that losing Tolzien that they'd have to suffer a dropoff at QB but this guy is better.

Funny to see Minnesota fan's bitching about Kill using the wrong QB. That sure didn't take long for him to have personnel issues.

Not sure if it was that thread, or a different one, but they were also questioning a time out he took in the 4th quarter for no reason.
