Thanks for the info re: the free demo - I just signed up for it so I hope I'll get the Kansas game now!

Well, I'm supposed to be getting it but it's not coming up yet. And FCS Central doesn't allow recording, so that sucks.

It should allow recording once it starts working... I need to get my order in today so I don't forget about it.

Do you just need to call and ask for the free promo or what?

I have my DVR (Comcast supplied) all set to record the Kansas game off of FCSC. I haven't seen anything that tells me it won't work.

RE: TV for Kansas
For all you AT&T Uverse guys.....

I called AT&T Uverse last week and asked them if I could get a free month of the sports package to see if I liked it or not and they gave it to me. The only caveat being that I had to cancel at the end of that month to avoid being charged for it going forward. It took less than 10 minutes and they had it up and running by the time I got home from work.

Due to the cable industry being so competitive you can almost always contact your provider and get a better deal or some type of promotion or freebie. I've almost canceled twice and gone to Comcast but AT&T sweetened the deal so much that they beat the Comcast price by a significant margin. Right now we are getting most of the movie channels and the sports package for free as well as $20 off our bill each month. As long as there are competitors in the area then they will bend over backwards to keep you.

I added it online. When you login online to manage your account, you can edit your package there. The Sports Package is one of the add-ons and it automatically gives you the first month free.

I have the game set to record now. WOOHOO!

The beauty of DVR! Yep, I'll try to get the highlights on there late night.

Thank you thank you you're far too kind.

I called Comcast today to get the sports package. $1.99 to add the service, said I can call and cancel on Monday if I want and they would pro-rate the monthly fee to just the three days I have it. She said my bill for it would be under three bucks if I cancel on Monday. BAM!

RE: TV for Kansas
I found a way to view the NIU/Kansas game at home on DirecTV.

The game is going to be shown on channel 623, but that is not part of my package. However, since I am a loyal DirecTV customer, they have offered me a free three month trial of the total sports package. I can get that channel, along with NESN (the Red Sox' channel)

I just have to remember to cancel in November.

So I have the Huskies on the tube tomorrow evening. Goooo Huskies!

ATT Uverse sucks!! Have called 6 times since Wednesday and they can't get the sports package added for some reason. Still can't see the game and it's almost halftime.

As much as I hate Comcast sometimes, they were able to add the sports package within seconds for me.

I wish I could see the game in HD, but I'll take what I can get for now.

Sorry to hear you had problems. I went to channel 9910 (Accont Manger) less than 30 minutes before game time, added the sports package and was connected in time for the kickoff.
