Battle for the Palladium 2011
So who's making the trip down to Troy? This should be a well attended game compared to past games in Troy. The main reason is that it's FINALLY on Saturday.

Will you guys bring the Band of Blue or a pep band? It's nice when other bands come and especially when the Band of Blue comes to town. 04-cheers

Our band director told us today in rehearsal that the entire Band of Blue will be making the trip down to TROY. I'm really glad they are coming.

RE: Battle for the Palladium 2011
I'd like to make it, but I keep having flash backs to 2009...and how long that drive back was. I've only ever left a MT football game early twice and that was one of them.

I am about 100 miles closer to Troy now, but I'm still not sure I'll go. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem driving hundreds of miles to a game I expect us to lose I've done it before and I'll do it again(this year on November 5th) I do however have a problem with driving hundreds of miles to watch us lose our sixth consecutive game, to a conference mate, in a rivalry in which a trophy is on the line.

I may still end up coming, but a strong showing against Purdue and/or Georgia Tech would definitely make me feel better about it.

20-0 in home openers. Blakeney is undefeated in home openers in his long tenure at Troy.

well the Middle faithful won't have to worry about me being there. My son is expected to arrive that weekend so my seats will be empty. I'll be cheering from the couch this year. First time I've ever missed a Palladium, but I think this is a worthy excuse.

Total lack of planning on your part - ranks up there with getting married during football season.03-lmfao I am proud to say my newborn arrived on 6/29/11...well in time to get "acclimated" to this world before football begins.

Seriously, better bring some Kleenex with you to the hospital. The first time you see that little one and realize it's your flesh and blood - you're gonna shed some major tears! Are you delivering at Baptist East?

Really, dude. . . Now, I'm not even close to being a father, but if I'm ever caught saying "birthing suites", please shoot me. My kid deserves someone manlier than someone who talks about "birthing suites".

I thought I was "man" enough when I proved I was able to produce offspring...that's what she said! 04-cheers

I was getting around to making a point about a certain feature found in that room but you couldn't wait for the joke.

One of the bigger problems with message boards(or text messages for that matter) is you cannot read inflection, it makes things like sarcasm or setting up for a joke hard to read.

I think I read it the same way ATO did like you were saying "Have you seen the birthing suites yet?" in the same way a couple of guys might say "have you seen the new swimsuit edition cover?" or "have you seen the new Camaro convertible?"

Yeah, I get that after reading over my previous post. Doesn't matter now, bit is old and I no longer have the desire to follow through.

Don't leave us hanging!!

But "birthing suites" are all the rage these days. There are several females I know that choose their OB based on which hospital they'll get to deliver in.

Might not seem like much, but at 10 PM when you've been in a delivery room for almost 24 hours, and your 1st born is less than an hour old, and all of a sudden the mom and baby are moving through the halls and upstairs to a normal hospital room so that the delivery room can get prepped for the next one, the idea of a birthing suite where the baby and mama (and in turn, the daddy) get to stay in the same cushy room from hospital check-in until going home at checkout, it can make a difference.

this thread didn't take long to get derailed. hahaha.

on the note of "birthing suit," yes we did a tour. the delivery room was NICE...i mean really nice. even had a flatscreen tv in there, so if he is coming out at the same time Corey Robinson is lighting up the MUTS secondary it will be divine providence.
