I'd bet him a paycheck that the Cajuns win more than 2 games.

There really is no shortage of bulletin board material, is there?

Keep underestimating us.

I would too, but the order seems right. Arkansas State is a team that scares me more than any other in the belt. Their offense was flat out good last season and has a chance to be prolific with another year under their belt, and frankly it might not matter if their defense is a pile of horse dung or superstars, they have the offense to outscore their opponents. Troy is their season finale, up in jonesboro and could determine whether they go bowling/win the conference. Not a game I'm looking forward to.

I hope it's decided before that game.

I think you could easily argue the order is fine. ASU should be the favorite of those 3. NT and the Cajuns I think are more of a toss up; but Dunbar might be the difference maker there WRT which team does best.

Time to get this show on the road! 04-rock

Every single publication is picking the Cajuns to be abysmal this year and not a single Cajun fan believes it. The majority of non-Cajun posters here have the Cajuns finishing 8th or 9th, the Cajuns aren't hearing it.

Should be interesting...

I totally understand the outsiders POV because to the casual observer last year was an epic disaster (see wku game).

But we felt that the outcomes last year were related to injuries and stale and predictable coaching as opposed to a lack of talent.

The coaching problem has been fixed and conditioning has improved.

I can understand that the rest of the world isn't ready to buy yet. They will soon enough.

I buy Hudspeth, just not sure I buy him in year one.

I don't think most rational Cajun fans are expecting us to compete for a title this year; but we do expect improvement. With that in mind, 4-5 wins are not out of the question. I think we will have a much better idea after the Kent State game. Not sure what we learn in week 1 at OSU. They would be a tough game for any non-AQ program this year.

Oklahoma State will light up the Cajuns and would probably light up most of the Sun Belt. Not sure about their defense, but even if their defense isn't up to snuff, you know their offense will be and Gundy doesn't shy away from RUTS, I don't think they'd have much of a problem winning a shootout against anyone in the conference.

I still have nightmares about Blackmon's circus catches last year.

I'd have been much happier about this game if he'd have turned pro in the off season.
