I wish all the Troy fans would travel down to Lafayette for the game, if you haven't been you need to come best experience in the Belt by far. Middle is a distant 2nd.

Ahh, yeah, I agree with you Geaux, attendance titles are much better than actually winning games. 04-bow

Forget september to december football, lets fast forward to next year's spring game! Nothing more exciting than counting ticket stubs!!!!! Woo hoo!!!
How many fans were there to see your "shared title"? Exactly, yes we had a great crown for the Spring Game, in fact it was 2/3rd as many folks as ULM drew for their season finale against the Cajuns with a bowl berth on the line. With a bowl committee in the press box so yes, attendance does matter.

Just imagine if the NCAA enforced the 15,000 rolling average and abolished neutral games to be designated as home games. Then you would be worried about how many fans you would have in the seats.

I may have misunderstood your post, so clear this up for me. Are you saying the reason why ULL only won 3 games last year was because the NCAA allows these damn schools with crappy game attendance but winning teams to play at the FBS level? 03-lmfao

Anyway, I hope you guys have record attendance this season. 04-cheers

I will be at the UL game. I've heard it's the best tailgating food in the sunbelt.

make sure you let me know prior to the game...

ULL in 09 was alright. The hurricane siren after every touchdown is really annoying. Oh and by the way the Sound of the South will be heading down for the game again this year.

You guys have had one good season since joining the Belt and your talking smack about the Cajuns? Really, we have a shared championship too you know. We have been bowl eligible 3 of the ast 4 years, and if WW would have not screwed the pooch on the bowl contract we would have been in a bowl two years ago.

I think your season was a fluke last year, we will see how you do this year. I suspect you guys will have a let down.

I'm not trying to talk smack. As I said earlier, I agree that ULL is the reigning attendance champs for the 'belt.

No where in this thread do I state or insinuate that FIU will dominate the conference or is better than the cajuns or made any comparisons between FIU and ULL. But it is hard not to comment on the disparity in the numbers presented in the thread.

And I say again, I hope you guys have record attendance this season. 04-cheers

I know some of you don't want APP State but here is what we had for fan day.

2011 Fan Fest
BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University football held an entertaining 54-play intrasquad scrimmage in front of over 8,000 fans during Appalachian’s annual Fan Fest on Saturday afternoon at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

I'm trying to calm the cajuns and you go stick this in? Now geaux cajuns will have to shift his figures up!

Funny...I quoted The Advertiser's numbers for fan day. As far as the spring game is concerned 5000 was very accurate.

Congrats to App State, I would love for them to join the Belt!
