If the B12 is considering Houston, then why not the ACC? Byu replaces a&m Houston replaces school "x" from the ACC. It would be the least messy solution. (If ACC thinks Houston is beneath them they need to suck it up, and realize this would get them into Texas).
Let me have it, I can take it!

I think as far as Houston goes, it all comes down to what Texas wants.
What Texas wants Texas gets, sadly!
Like I said elsewhere, as a UCF fan, I have to cheer for the Big12 surviving I think. Right?

In the end, it's up to Texas and OU. KU and Mizzou have the Big East out and I suspect they will stay in the B12 if they feel OU and TX are committed to staying since they know they have options. Everyone else is along for the ride.
I really didn't know that "Baylor People" said much of anything. I thought that "Baylor People" had their mouths full of Bevo's teet and couldn't talk!

Cincinnati and Louisville weren't interested in the Big 12, clearly. Louisville is always more public about their feelings. Louisville was public about their feelings when it came to joining the Big East, Cincinnati felt the same way but Louisville did the talking for us. Besides, this isn't about Cincinnati and Louisville, this is about Texas building a conference that will do their bidding.
I'm not wrong. NO conf invites anyone and gets rejected. They probe them. If the feeling is mutual they offer the invite. SHow me how I'm wrong and show me proof of any of your info.
PS schools always say they're happy where they are until they're gone. Except A&M and Boise St. Check out the Nebraska we are not talking to the B1G and are a member of the B12 quote last year.

I don't think that article really says much. I hope we stay in the Big East but how is that article any different than Nebraska and AM saying they're committed to the Big 12?

Time will tell. If UT, OU, KU, and MU are all solid I would expect getting to 12 to happen within 4 years.

Cincinnati and Louisville were talking to the Big 12 together for the last year. I told you guys that, though you didn't want to believe me. I tell you guys over and over that Louisville is more of a public mouthpiece for Cincinnati. We usually go together, and if they say something 99.99999% of the time they speak for us.
CC I don't want to come off like a jerk, but show me where in that article it suggests that Louisville turned down an invitation. Secondly, why would anyone read that article and assume that Cincinnati also turned it down? Thirdly, if Louisville does get an SEC offer, does that mean that they are going to lobby for Cincinnati? Forgive me skepticism, but as they say on Monday night "come on man".
I've said it a million times, the Cincinnati and Louisville have been talking to the Big 12 for the last year. I told you guys that (as well as CJ and others) and you didn't believe us, and that article just told you that the Big 12 looked at Louisville. Second, and I posted it earlier, Cincinnati and Louisville are close with Texas. Texas is very much like Notre Dame and the Big Ten, they are very big on academics. Texas has been VERY impressed with Cincinnati's academics. As for Louisville getting an SEC offer, would they lobby for Cincinnati? Would be hard to do since they would be getting the last spot. Cincinnati and Louisville have a history of leaving for other conferences without the other, but when there is a chance to go to a conference together (C-USA, Big 12, Big East) we stick together. That being said, I doubt that the SEC would invite Louisville. From what I heard, if the Big 12 pursued Louisville then Cincinnati was part of it as well. We tell guys things, they don't want to listen. We told you months before it was reported that Kansas and the others were in contact with the Big East (in actuality several Big East schools, and then the Big East later). Louisville and Cincinnati were also in contact with Texas and the aforementioned schools (and then the Big 12 later).
I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on what did (or did not) go down today.

Talking with The PAC of course. You think Larry Scott is going to sit by and watch this happen and not do anything...LOL
If aTm jumps to The SEC, OU and Okie State are in my opinion as good as gone. The PAC won't let The SEC act alone. I would look for Mizzou to be on The Big 10's board again as well.

An article came out today saying that Larry Scott had secured a spot for Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech.

CC,
That's the next big domino to fall. If those 4 jump to The PAC, The Big 12 North will be next. Come on aTm go ahead and finish what Texas started and what KU, KSU, ISU and BU have been preparing for.

I think Scott would be OK with UT if they scaled back the LHN and pushed for a Texas network with Tech.

Id love to see that article as well. Kinda hard to believe they would take those 4 (only 1 of which is a power program) to the Pac 12.

All 4 would immediately compete and brings lots of TVsets and do well in the PAC. So which is the power, UT or OU?

Getting a little ahead of yourself? Wasn't UH going to the Big XII last year and that's when they announced their "stadium plan"? Weren't y'all going to the Big East this summer?
I really do wish the University of Houston on the BigXII. It would be great on so many levels.
