RE: COMMENTARY: It’s time to complete the north side of FIU stadium
FIU Fan is refering to this comment "Does that guy who yells through the entire game as if he is a 2 Live Crew frontman (topical reference since we are talking about Miami) still do the PA for your games?" He's right that the PA announcer does not yell thorugh the entire game or "over" the game. You are right that his volume might drown out the radio/tv announcers while there is a stopage in play. I actually have no problem with the volume, I have a problem with the amount of announcements that are made when there is a stopage in play (I rather hear the band play). Go F I U!

The last game ASU played at FIU, he was yelling during the actual plays. That is absolutely true.

There is no way he was doing that, frankly, it is illegal. It is essentially an artificial noisemaker (just like the band can't play over the game). He would be warned and then FIU would be penalized.

Shortly you'll know the other feeling I have of belieiveing your own hype and not taking care of business now that the target is on you.

Which feeling? The one about regressing ever year since becoming a full FBS? or the one about playing 30 minutes closer will turn the team's fortune around?

I shouldn't be talking smack about your OCS, already we are seeing the influence it is having on past and present students wanting to contribute from cash to copper. 05-stirthepot

FIU could have taken the League outright, but couldn't put away a MTSU team that Troy has owned for years. Next time you guys are in that situation, try to face the opponent and not look ahead... that usually doesn't turn out so well. see our game against your guys as a good example.

MTSU and ULM were very similar teams which resulted in very similar results (losing to MTSU by 1, 28-27 and tied with ULM, 28-28 at end of regulation). Trust me, we weren't looking ahead, MTSU had their act together and it was a tussle all night. We wanted that 7-5 regular season record real bad.

By the way, usually a head-to-head victory is the first tie-breaker. We quietly took our Co-Championship and trip to the Pizza Bowl as a 'paying our dues' acquiescence to not going to New Orleans; I don't think we'll be as gracious in the future.

Yeah, because your program made the gracious decision to travel all the way to Detroit and "give" Troy the New Orleans Bowl out of the goodness of your collective hearts. 03-lmfao

we went to New Orleans over FIU because we earned that right through the years.

Boys you do know the Sunbelt makes the call on who the host team is for the N.O. bowl, right? Its a dollars and cents thing.

If my Cajuns are ever worthy of a bowl game, we have been told the N.O. bowl is ours.

Hopefully someday soon we can make that happen.

You just made my point. However, same situation this year may lead to a different result, esp. with a bowl right there in bammers'.

Champion goes to Mobile this season. I expect to be sitting in the stands. This time around I'll dress much warmer though.

That stadium needs to be finished so it does not look like a mid-major facility surrounding a high school's stands.
