What is the benefit of the Concrete over Steel? I see lots of hate on steel stadiums around but I dont think there is a huge difference. Now i will say that if you dont use facades or covering and just have exposed steel construction, then yes it does look like crap.

RE: UNT verse FAU Stadium (Random Thoughts)
If I recall as well I think FAU has a larger number of "club" seating then UNT. Dont have the exact numbers but I seem to remember that reading the UNT board.

Thats a big source of revenue that FAU will have the advantage of.

As you said both stadiums are beautiful and enhance our programs as well as the 'Belt. Picking out the diffences between 2 super-models and saying which one is better. Both are great an in the end it doesnt matter since we both got to bring one home.

Curious, what are FAUs prices ?

UNT has 21 luxury boxes and around 720 club seats. Boxes sold out and over 500 club seats sold to date.

Pricing:
Boxes - $20,000 per year with 5 year committment
Club Seats - $25,000, $12,500 or $6,250 (depending on yard line) five year committment with additional $500 annual donation and $350 per seat.

I see no need to debate this topic. Both programs are getting much needed stadiums. Lets hope this motivates a few other Sun Belt programs to step up and improve their stadiums or build new ones. Investments in facilities can only help to improve the conference.

RE: UNT verse FAU Stadium (Random Thoughts)
So to surmise, it looks like FAU has roughly 5,000 "club seats", and a total of 50 "suites" both Outdoor and Indoor.

I do know that when FAU talked to UCF about thier stadium, they really stressed that the one thing they wished they had more of was club level seating, as thier sold out and there was demand for a lot more. I think FAU really took that to heart with all the different levels of "club" level available.

Exactly!!!
it's beating a dead horse...
We are going to think ours is better,
NT is going to think theirs is better...
and Troy is still going to think theirs is BEST!!!

Point is it's good for both our schools, congrats to both of us.

they all have FAU tattoos on their butts, but if I showed that, it would be NSFW, and we can't have that now, can we?

Only about 8% of your population is between the age of 18-24. 20% is over the age of 64. Boca is like one big retirement home. Most of your women are wrinkled, sagging, and have no teeth.

North Texas has TWO Ms.Americas. You should try making fun of a different school's girls.

And, FIU probably doesn't like you posting pictures of their girls in Miami.

I'm sure both stadiums are/will be nice . . . but I was surprised to see that UNT didn't have many chair-back seats near the field. Wouldn't those be a revenue generator?

I wouldn't rule out those middle sections changing to chair-backs in the future.

Give FAU the nod on having some bad ass options for donor giving levels. I don't know another school that has that many different ways to enjoy a game. I think it will be a hit.

Chair backs for individual seats will be sold for $50.

RE: UNT verse FAU Stadium (Random Thoughts)
FAU and UNT both have great stadiums and significant upgrades over what they had before. That being said....

What I like about FAU's stadium:

Chairbacks
Seat colors
Nice video board

What I don't like:
Corners: Why are they shorter than the rest of the stadium. It looks odd. Why not just add a few more rows in the corner to make a horseshoe?
Deck on Press box side: It makes the stadium look unfinished. Why not build seating all the way to the endzone?
Erector Set: Looks cheap
