Ladies of NT
or Pretend Ladies of FAU (probably just some more beautiful North Texas girls on vacation in Florida)
I fixed that for you
Your picture of FAU girls reminds me of George Costanza's photograph of his model fiance' that he cut out of a magazine.

However, I do believe that there is something to be said for concrete construction verses metal. I know facades can be put up so that the erector set look is somewhat covered, but I really believe as far as quality goes, concrete is the better option in the long run. Therefore I believe UNT will have the better stadium. But I must say having all the chair backs was an extremely smart idea on FAU's side. Also, I'm in love with all of the color the FAU stadium has. Brilliant ideas there.
I hear this all the time, but no one yet has told me why.
Wear and Tear?
Longevity?
Maintennce?
Look and Feel?
Why do people feel that concrete is better then steel?
When stAte expanded its concrete stadium to move to 1A it used steel for the visitor's side upper deck. The visual of that is the crappiest/worst looking part of the stadium. I'm sure it was cheaper to do it that way, especially since a BB player's family donated some/all of the materials.
If there were a brick facade built around it though, it would look fine. The biggest problem is that it doesn't match the original concrete design.

RE: UNT verse FAU Stadium (Random Thoughts)
I will admit that I prefer the all-concrete stadium to steel construction any day of the week. But.......had UNT built a stadium like FAU's 10-15 years ago, I would have been elated. What FAU has done in such a short period of time is truly amazing. Someone at the top has vision.
The "Between The Palms" theme is genious. Being a coastal type person myself(Texas Coast), I can really appreciate the beautiful views and ocean air that your stadium will provide.
One thing that UNT did not include in the new stadium is permanent chairbacks for the lower bowl and upper bowl, between the 40 yard lines. Big money making mistake. Guess they can be added later.
