No, but a lot of my friends did. Why is that funny? As many have said, myself included, we grew up with these books/movies. People dress up for star wars, star trek, and comic book movies. I think it's pretty cool and shows true dedication. Do you laugh at people in the stands who are wearing their favorite player's jersey and helmet... It's the same thing.

I’m laughing at you and others because you are an easy target. Its all in good fun, but it’s certainly entertaining to me when people are consumed to such a level by a series of books or movies. There is nothing wrong with enjoying such trilogies as Star Wars, The Dark Night, Spider Man, the Patriot Series, etc; I grew up in the era of Star Wars and Star Trek; I enjoyed every one of those movies. My oldest son became hooked on the Star Wars trilogy and we watched all the movies together, along with the Dark Night, Spider Man and Star Trek series.

While we’ve enjoyed everyone one of those movies, it has never become a religion to me or my family. It is almost scary how adults have taken these movies, books and conventions and turned them into a religion. So as long as no one is hurt, I don’t have a problem with children dressing up in character and enjoying the event. But I do think adults look ridiculous and at times act extremely weird in carrying their excitement to a different level. So yes, I find it funny ,and yes I laugh at people in the stands that act like idiots.

CajunT, I just started the 1966 Star Trek series on Netflix. I'm impressed with how much depth the show has. Definitely not boring. I grew up with Harry Potter but I never cared to read the books, or watch the movies. I've seen a couple here and there, but not my cup of tea. I prefer shows like Dexter, Burn Notice, and Justified. All good shows everyone should at least check out. Lie To Me is pretty good too.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Completely agree. Cannot wait til football season so we can start talking sports instead of television and movie watching-- I don't have much time for either.

RE: OT- It All Ends Tonight
I've never been much of a Potter fan. Never read the books. I have watched all the movies but were never blown away by them.

Finally got around to seeing Deathly Hallows Part 2.

Have to say the series got better as it went along. Quite enjoyed Hallows part 2.

Recent reports put Deathly Hallows Part 2 at $475 million worldwide for its opening weekend. I can see it reaching a billion sometime next week. I also see it overtaking Avatar and Titantic to claim the highest grossing move in history.
