good write-up, one of the best pre-season reads so far for the Conference IMO.

I disagree.
Our bottom teams are not the worst in FBS. The separation from top to bottom isn't as wide as they make it appear. On any given day, WKU or UNT can beat the top teams.

don't dwell on the negatives so much 49. I like to concentrate on all the nice things he said about Troy. 03-wink

Yes, that is true in conference but what about out? UNT and WKU have lost a lot of games the last few years. Are there MAC teams that are on par with them? I don't think so.

There are some pretty terrible MAC teams, most notably Eastern Michigan...

Ah...well, I would say they are tied with the MAC but that's about as good as it gets. It would be nice if they won their OOC games against other Non-AQ's and the weaker AQ's as it would give the conference more credibility.

And there are a few MAC teams that are averaging 10,000 a game and in reality probably closer to 5,000.

I think it was either Eastern Michigan or Western that had 1,000+ people at a game a few years back...

You guys are looking at the wrong numbers. Spring game number are what matters, ask any cajun. [insert angled picture of half the stand here] 03-lmfao

RE: Forecasting The Sun Belt (Pre-Snap Read)
You know I think FIU will be the team to beat this year, not saying Troy can't/won't beat them, but I see great things for thier program. Also I think WKU will be a heck of a lot better than what folks are giving them credit for because yeah they lost a lot of games but a lot of those losses were extemely close (save two or three games).

I also can't wait to see how Sun Belt teams fair in OOC play. The only good thing about getting hammered year after year by the so-called "big boys" is you learn, you get better, you pick yourself back up and use all of the above for the next game and soon we'll catch someone sleeping.[/align]
